Bachelor of Education is a bachelor degree course at the undergraduate level. It is offered by a lot of colleges or universities all over the country. It is a course for the students who are intend to work as teachers. Teaching is a respected job in India and the teachers focus in various subjects and areas. The course is a specialised course and the minimum eligibility for joining the course is that the student must have donean undergraduate degree course in some discipline. In India, it is obligatory to have a B.Ed degree in order serve as a teacher in high schools as well as higher primary schools. For completing the course, the aspirants should at least complete their graduation with a B.A., B.Com, or B.Sc. degree. The course is also accessible at many open universities through distance learning and here the duration is minimum 2 years and maximum 5 years

To be eligible for the B.Ed. course, one must hold a BA/BSc/B. Com degree from a recognized University/Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Aspirants need to appear in an entrance test held by Universities and various states and also independent bodies. Admission to various colleges and educational institutions is offered according to the rank of the students in the respective entrance tests. This is a highly competetive sector and requires dedicated preparation for cracking the entrance.
